Practice

Ted Marsh joined West & Associates in 2005. Mr. Marsh is a patent agent with West & Associates and is responsible for patent prosecution in the areas of electrical engineering, software, and related technologies.

Education

Mr. Marsh holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a M.S. Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

 

Prior Experience

Prior to joining West & Associates, Mr. Marsh has been an independent technical consultant active in engineering development of consumer and professional products concerned with digital media production; that is, audio, video, and film. Previously, he managed a digital media engineering group at Silicon Graphics (sgi), developing both baseline digital media technologies and option products for the workstation product lines. Mr. Marsh has more than twenty years of experience in the design and development of products for digital media production. He has been a manager, a technical/project leader, and a design engineer.

Prior to starting his consulting practice, Mr. Marsh held development engineering positions at Silicon Graphics Computer Systems (sgi), Abekas Video Systems, and Ampex Corporation.

 

Legal Qualifications

Mr. Marsh is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (2003).

Professional Activities

Mr. Marsh is a member of the Intellectual Property Society (www.ipsociety.net), the Audio Engineering Society (www.aes.org), and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (www.smpte.org). Mr. Marsh served as the 2000-2001 chair of the San Francisco section of the Audio Engineeering Society (www.aessf.org).
